When I get a stubborn zit that refuses to come to a head - or any time I want to kill something smaller, I dab a little bit of regular Crest brand toothpaste over it and let it dry (but not longer than 10 minutes), then wipe the toothpaste off my skin with a warm washcloth and swab over the spot with some witch hazel...or a dab of alcohol, if the situation is really dire. Generally, by the next day, if it was a smaller zit, it's practically gone, and if it was a large red welt of a zit, it will finally come to a head; another day or two of treatment, and it dries up, lickety-split. I totally swear by it and find it about a million times more effective than spot treatments like Clearasil.

When I was 12 years old I picked up a booklet in the supermarket - back when we had them - which told women how to prevent wrinkles.
The main requirement stated that after washing the face, at least twice a day, rinse the face with warm and then cool water for a total of 30 splashes.
For me it meant a thoroughly hydrated face to which moisterizers could lock in the water plumping the cells.
At 41, and with no crows feet, just a few fine line when I smile, this is the most important ritual in my cleansing process. And, it ensures all cleansing products and deadskin trapped in the cleansing products are removed so that treatments and serums are more effective
