Sometimes this happens with too much sun or even a bad diet. All of a sudden you notice the skin on your cheek bones a darker shade. This is a simple tip to use at home and showed me results in a weeks time. Used daily my skin began to glow.

Ingredients:
The ingredients are simple - we all use over the counter vitamins and honey! Take a little honey enough to cover the face. And in it add one capsule of vitamin A and one capsule of vitamin E.

How to prepare:
Mix all three ingredients thoroughly.

How to use:
Apply this mixture to the face and neck for 10 minutes. And wash of with water thoroughly.

Results (observed by submitter):
All the dark spots on my face faded away in a weeks time. And my skin began to glow. The enzyme becomes active when mixed with an activating gel and needs to be kept moist to continue working. This is usually accomplished with steam. I have sensitive skin aggravated by moist heat. To keep the enzyme moist I apply saran wrap to my face. This is a bit awkward but keeps the enzyme moist enough to do its work!

How to prepare:
Usually enzyme peels come as powder to be mixed with water or gel before use.

How to use:
Apply and cover with saran wrap to keep moist. Wash off after a while.

Results (observed by submitter):
Great! Enzymes are gentle enough for sensitive skin and with moist heat out of the equation it is a perfect exfoliator.

Costs involved:
product

by Margaret2eroSevenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11643073497076650285noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-382800433206268466.post-34264380199142097822009-11-10T22:37:00.001+08:002009-12-31T16:53:02.234+08:00Facial wrinkle reduction & firmingDetails:
I have been researching, studying and sampling skin care products steadily for several years now. I am 42 years old with light sensitive skin. In the last six months, I have discovered two products in particular, that used together have dramatically helped my skin. Before trying these products - I was introduced to similar products by my dermatologists. I decided to try different products that you could find at the drugstore. Some of these products I threw out after a month of no results. But now I believe I have found the products! Andrea Wrinkle Release Daily Rebuilding Serum with Matrixyl. I put this on morning and night after I use Neutrogena's excellent facial wash that also removes makeup with out leaving the skin dry (Visibly Even Foaming Cleanser with Soy). Then I use Body Fantasies Advanced Skin Science Facial Wrinkle repair & stretch Mark Treatment. Next I use a moisturizer with SPF.

Results (observed by submitter):
It has been 4 months and everyone is commenting on the looks of my skin. I put make up on over the trio and never look caked or gooey. I am very happy. I have a lot more to tell about other products but will do later. Hope the above helps.

Costs involved:
Product Purchase less than $35

by Megan2eroSevenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11643073497076650285noreply@blogger.com20tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-382800433206268466.post-34123670592669144882009-10-19T22:39:00.000+08:002009-10-19T22:39:00.518+08:00Skin soakDetails:
This is a simple but effective method of ensuring that your skin is radiant and pore free before a night out. Simply purchase some regular aqueous cream from a pharmacy and a few nights before the event (not the actual night) smother your face in the cream. This is done at night after a shower. You will notice that your skin will "drink" the cream up. Your skin becomes noticeably plump and smooth for a few dys afterwards. This is only a boost and is not something you should do to regularly as you can block pores and cause spots. Any cream not absorbed after 5 minutes should be wiped off using a clean piece of cotton wool.

Ingredients:
A pot of aqueous cream, unperfumed.

Results (observed by submitter):
The appearance of skin improves, less redness and smaller pores. Dry spots vanish temporarily and the skin takes make-up much more easily (for girls...well..mostly).

by Kieran2eroSevenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11643073497076650285noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-382800433206268466.post-27765738985962786402009-10-10T20:28:00.000+08:002009-10-10T20:28:00.203+08:00Nightly cleansing routineEach night before bed I condition my face by gently wiping a mineral or almond oil, or combination of both over my face (even the eye area) using a soaked cotton square. This removes all makeup and dirt. Next is a face wash with organic soap and a clean white washcloth. The water should be tepid, not too hot. I then follow with an organic moisturizer and moisturize again in the morning. Be sure not to pull on the skin when cleansing. My skin is smooth and blemish free and I'm 66 years old!

by Carol2eroSevenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11643073497076650285noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-382800433206268466.post-59197303615199218402009-09-27T22:14:00.000+08:002009-09-27T22:23:38.464+08:00Epsom Salt for BeautyDetails:
My friend gave me this beauty tips about Epsom Salt a couple of months ago and I love them. Epsom Salt is mineral compound (Magnesium Sulfate) that absorbs quckly through the skin and can be used to improve your beauty. USES and RECEPIES: 1) To exfoliate skin: Mix two cups of Epsom Salt and 1/4 cup of petroleum jelly. Add four drops of lavender essential oil (or any other essential oil that you like) to give a good aroma. Apply the mixture to your skin and gently scrub. You can also rub Epsom Salt into your body after taking a shower to exfoliate old skin cells. 2) For a facial: Mix 1/2 teaspoon of Epsom Salt into a deep cleansing cream. Massage the mixture onto your skin. Leave it for 20 minutes and then rinse with cold water. 3) To help with your pedicure: Soften your feet by soaking them in a bathtub with warm/hot water and Epsom Salt for 20 + minutes. The salt helps to smoothen, relax and refresh your feet.

Ingredients:
Epsom Salt and essential oils.

Results (observed by submitter):
It really worked for me as a skin exfoliator. I also like a lot to mix the salts in a bath tub and add a couple of drops of eucaliptus essential oil to relax.

by Monica2eroSevenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11643073497076650285noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-382800433206268466.post-61089872237140445812009-07-07T20:55:00.000+08:002009-07-07T20:55:00.636+08:00Softer skin with baby oilBaby oil is not just for babies. After a shower while you are still damp, smooth on Johnston's Baby Oil Gel (I have used other brands but this brand is thick) on your body. Pay close attention to elbows, legs and feet. In the winter I put the oil on my feet, put on white socks, and sleep in it all night. I have trouble with the tips of my finger cracking in the winter and the gel also helps prevent this. I strongly recommend the gel and not the oil as it is far less messy and does a better job.

by Diane2eroSevenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11643073497076650285noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-382800433206268466.post-20887662363513563512009-06-06T21:10:00.000+08:002009-06-06T21:10:00.464+08:00Emu oil for better skinDetails:
Apply Refined Emu Oil and a moist warm cloth to your face for about 5 minutes. This application is similar to a hot oil treatment for your hair. The heat helps keep the Emu oil fully liquefied, allowing extra penetration deep into the layers of skin. By following this tip you will soon begin to feel the difference in your skin; wrinkles should begin diminishing and skin will become very soft, smooth and supple. It also penetrates down through all 7 layers of skin and helps with new cell proliferation. The moisturizer works because the Emu Oil in the formula pulls the other things into the skin where it forms a moisture barrier. It seals the skin to maintain the body's natural moisture yet keeps the irritants away for the skin.

How to prepare:
Apply Refined Emu Oil and a fresh moist warm cloth to your face for about 5 minutes.

How to use:
Shake emu oil well and apply generously on face. The moist cloth warms the oil to help with penetration.

Results (observed by submitter):
helped to thicken and replenish my skin to reduce wrinkles and signs of aging. Being gentle with the skin is better. The skin does need some oils. If you clean all oils then more will be produced and clog pores. Finding the right balance for your own skin is key. If you are still getting blemishes and have no medical reason for this then try a gentle cleanser in the morning and if your skin feels dirty or oily through the day just wash it with water. At night you can use your regular, harsher cleanser. This will not cost you any extra to try but i assure you within a month your blemishes will improve.

by Anonymous2eroSevenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11643073497076650285noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-382800433206268466.post-83032073840757686162009-02-08T15:50:00.002+08:002009-02-08T16:00:52.485+08:00Instant skin tightening and pore reducingDetails:
To tighten the pores on your skin, place a wet towel in a ziplock bag and leave it in the refridgerator over night. Or maybe even on your forehead. When you frown unaware you feel the plaster move which will warn you that you have to relax your face muscles. Of course don't do this outside or when you have company of others (maybe except your family; my husband was used to it). You will learn to get aware of frowning and your face muscles will get used to being relaxed.

Ingredients:
Sticking plaster

Results (observed by submitter):
Ten years ago I had a wrinkle between my eyebrows because I always frowned. If you work in a dry work environment, a light spray to your face keeps your skin glistening and moist all day long. These sprays are similar to body mist sprays, but they're strictly for the face and can be found in any Drug or Department store. There are many store brands, and all work the same really. The best thing about these sprays is that they are not costly - about 3.00 per bottle and a bottle will last up to 2-3 months depending on the number of times you use it per day. For dryer skin types, you may have to use the spray more times per day than with someone with fairly moist skin.

How to use:
Spray lightly to face.

Results (observed by submitter):
Moist and glistening skin. I have recently discovered that "FANNY CREAM" has worked to clear up my Daschund's skin condition., we tried everything on him. I decided to try it on myself. I have these pimples/bumps on my face. I don't know if it is fungal, bacterial, allergy or what, but "FANNY CREAM" has zinc oxide, an anti-fungal, a hydrocortisone, to name a few. I wouldn't recommend it every day (even though it probably won't hurt. I have had this rash for years and it has helped. You may want to consult your physician first, but Mommy's use it on their dear little ones bottoms on a daily basis. Just a suggestion. It has been used under the breast of a customer of ours for a rash that she believed was fungal. It worked! I work in a pharmacy also am a esthetician/nail tech. Good Luck.

by Kimberley2eroSevenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11643073497076650285noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-382800433206268466.post-16269625889886942532008-09-12T22:35:00.000+08:002008-09-12T22:37:03.972+08:00Olay Perfecting Cream vs. Kinerase TestI wanted to try Olay Regenerist Perfecting Cream after it won the anti-wrinkle treatment award in a leading magazine. It's active ingredient is pentapeptides. To see if it really worked I applied it to only 1/2 of my face and I applied Kinerase lotion to the other 1/2 of my face. After 3 days I asked two friends if they saw any difference in either side of my face. Both of the friends picked the Olay side immediately. I've been using the Olay Perfecting cream for 2 weeks now and my skin is smoother, softer, less blotchy, my wrinkles are less noticeable, and I no longer have flaky patches.

Kinerase Lotion used to be my anti-wrinkle treatment and I believe that it also works. The difference is that it may take longer to see results and it's effect on my skin was an overall healthy glow rather than the specific immediate results I got with Olay Perfecting Cream. What remains to be known is which product would produce better long-term effects. It is also interesting to note that when I tested Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum vs. Kinerase Intensive Eye Cream, the Kinerase did a better job at hydrating and minimizing wrinkles in the eye area and reducing dark circles.

by Anonymous2eroSevenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11643073497076650285noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-382800433206268466.post-38012298655946599922008-09-12T22:29:00.001+08:002008-09-12T22:33:41.270+08:00Cleansing with oilDetails:
Clogged pores? Congested skin? Breakouts? Blackheads? Look no further. Throw out your cleansers and moisturizers and get yourself some coldpressed oils. Basically, oil dissolves oil. So, if your skin is overproducing sebum, stop using harsh detergents and stripping your skin, it'll just make it produce more oil. The following method has helped normalize my congested, acne prone skin: Cleansing: Massage jojoba oil (yes, on top of your makeup and everything) into your skin, dissolving all makeup and excess sebum. Give yourself a nice facial massage for a few minutes, then drape a washcloth dipped in hot water over your face, leave to cool for a bit, and simply wipe away all the dirt and oil. You can use extra virgin oil as well, or a mix of either oils and a bit of castor oil (really draws out those blackheads, but don't use too much). Now, your face is clean without being stripped, and if you don't feel dry or tight, skip any more moisture. If you do feel a bit dry, simply put on a few drops of jojoba oil. Presto!

Ingredients:
Jojoba oil or extra virgin olive oil Castor oil (optional)

How to prepare:
Simply use a bit straight from the bottle, or make your own mix in a bottle.

How to use:
Smooth on, massage in, wipe off.

Results (observed by submitter):
Normalized skin, got rid of most blackheads and acne.

by Anonymous2eroSevenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11643073497076650285noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-382800433206268466.post-10493696817889922852008-08-09T23:18:00.000+08:002008-08-09T23:19:41.061+08:00Sun damage on legsSun exposure over the years has caused numerous brown, textured spots, as well as, a more overall brown mottled appearance (old looking) on my legs. I saw a dermatologist about it and she conducted lasering on the spots which did little to minimize the marks and left me with very red pigmentation for about a year.

More recently I started using a callous exfoliator for feet (over the counter) on my legs. There are various brand names available at drug stores and I apply it 2X per day after washing, shaving and sometimes loofahing my legs. The brown mottling stuff is virtually gone and my legs have the original lightly pink colored skin of years ago.

I also used wart remover on some of the spots and it is peeling them off in layers. Just be careful to go slow with this latter part. I plan to use copper peptide cream for the healing of the spots where they were into the tissue deeper. This is still a work in progress. I then apply organic coconut oil to my legs for moisturizing. This is the first time, in years, that I feel hopeful about my legs. They look so much younger.

by Elizabeth2eroSevenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11643073497076650285noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-382800433206268466.post-83457779282644844572008-08-09T23:14:00.000+08:002008-08-09T23:17:12.064+08:00Ayurvedic body skin careDetails:
A traditional Ayurveda method to maintain good body skin health is to perform a quick daily self-massage before showering with cured sesame oil. According to Ayurvedic tradition, this practice not only helps maintain good skin, but has a powerful effect on overall health and immunity. This practice is recommended by Dr. Deepak Chopra, among many other practitioners of Ayurveda.

Ingredients:
Raw sesame oil, which is available from health food stores.

How to prepare:
Heat the oil in a recipient until a few drops of water on its surface start to sizzle. Do not allow oil to burn. This procedure "cures" the oil. Let cool down, and put in a bottle.

How to use:
Apply all over your body with a massage, before the shower. You may or may not use soap, whichever you prefer. You can apply the oil all over your body, including face, and scalp. Do not forget bottoms of feet, and ears, which are two areas especially important, according to Ayurvedic tradition.

Results (observed by submitter):
Best method to keep the skin on your body in perfect shape. One of the areas of focus is the skin on my face. After decades of smoking, neglect and hard living, the skin on my face consisted mostly of enlarged pores. Three months ago, I started a regimen of exfoliation using crushed apricot pits purchased at a beauty supply store and vitamin E cream. Three nights a week, before retiring, I applied the exfoliant and used a battery-operated toothbrush (the kind with a rotary head) for increased abrasion with fine control. In the morning, I applied the vitamin e cream for protection. After three months, about half of the enlarged pores have returned to normal. Only the really large ones remain, and they are much smaller than when I started. The results are so good that I have decided to do some homework and learn how to properly care for my skin.

Results (observed by submitter):
After three months, about half of the enlarged pores on my face have returned to normal. Here is a little background on it. At the end I have started a great skin tip from this health system. Ayurveda, literally the "science of life and longevity" in ancient Sanskrit, is the oldest healing system in the world in continuous practice. It dates over 3000 years, with roots going back even further. It is the worlds first holistic system of health maintenance, based on lifestyle, diet and herbs. It was discovered that the taste of an herb determines its action: cleansing, balancing or rejuvenating. Generally, bitter tasting herbs clear and cleanse, whereas sweeter herbs tend to be nourishing and rebuilding. In contrast, vitamins therapy assumes there is a deficiency, if one does not exist, they are simply excreted by the body. Ayurveda states that using pure sesame oil on your skin is moisturizing and antiaging. I bought a bottle (very cheap) and have been using it all over my body and face then showering the excess off. My skin is glowing and definitely more hydrated. Great stuff.

Ingredients:
Organic Sesame oil

How to prepare:
Buy a bottle from the supermarket or health shop

How to use:
Apply generously to your whole body and face, then shower as normal.

Results (observed by submitter):
Smooth moisturized skin after only a couple of weeks.

by Wendy2eroSevenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11643073497076650285noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-382800433206268466.post-33299456833367177072008-06-18T23:29:00.000+08:002008-06-18T23:31:35.076+08:00Natural Acne TreatmentDetails:
The emu oil allows the tea tree oil to permeate the skin more deeply delivering the astringent effect of the tea tree oil more effectively. I have used the dermal tone, and it worked very well. It firmed and tightened my sagging jaw line. Also, it firmed my cheek areas and along the sides of the mouth. The forehead is more toned and wrinkles appear slightly less visible and under the eyes area looks less puffy. And the neck area has toned nicely. The machine cost about 160 dollars. It applies a physical therapy method of using a very small electrical impulse to make the face muscles move, thus exercising them. Like with any exercise, it tones the muscles, creating a true facelift.

There are manual methods that can be used to create the same result, in which you tense the muscles yourself...there are books on the subject. Tensing too hard creates more wrinkles though.

by Anonymous2eroSevenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11643073497076650285noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-382800433206268466.post-82738806605924538102008-05-29T23:40:00.001+08:002008-05-29T23:41:57.566+08:00Changing skin from dull to brighter and smootherDetails:
In the morning I wash my face with a gently cleanser - Cetaphyl. I then apply Clarins Super Restorative Serum and wait until it dries. On top of the serum, I add Lancome Renergie, an anti-wrinkle and firming lotion. At night, I wash my face again with Cetaphyl. After my face is dry I add ROC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Correction Serum. Twice a week I use the Clinique 15 Minute Facial product. It is supposed to exfoliate skin. I don't have a good cream for my eyes and I am looking for advice on a good product. For the ROC Retinol Serum, I can also use it is the morning but I am worried about putting moisturizer over it. Would that minimize its effectiveness? I am also woried that I will have to much on my skin making it look dull.

Ingredients:
Cetaphyl gently cleanser, Clarins Super Restorative Serum, Lancome Renergie, an anti-wrinkle and firming lotion, ROC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Correction Serum.

How to use:
Clarins Super Restorative Serum, apply all over face, give time for it to dry. A couple of times a week, use a sugar scrub that is available at discount retailers for only a few dollars to exfoliate your hands. Then rinse and apply olive oil that has been warmed in the microwave and let set a few minutes and then wash hands with gentle cleanser and follow with your favorite hand lotion. She also recommended that you do not use the popular antibacterial hand soap because it dries out your skin and makes those painful cracks around your fingernails.

This really improved the condition of my dried out cracked hands.

by Melissa2eroSevenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11643073497076650285noreply@blogger.com0
