This is a simple tip to use at home and showed me results in a weeks time. Used daily my skin began to glow.

Ingredients:
The ingredients are simple - we all use over the counter vitamins and honey! Take a little honey enough to cover the face. And in it add one capsule of vitamin A and one capsule of vitamin E.

How to prepare:
Mix all three ingredients thoroughly.

How to use:
Apply this mixture to the face and neck for 10 minutes. And wash of with water thoroughly.

Results (observed by submitter):
All the dark spots on my face faded away in a weeks time. And my skin began to glow. The enzyme becomes active when mixed with an activating gel and needs to be kept moist to continue working. This is usually accomplished with steam. I have sensitive skin aggravated by moist heat. I am 42 years old with light sensitive skin. In the last six months, I have discovered two products in particular, that used together have dramatically helped my skin. Before trying these products - I was introduced to similar products by my dermatologists. I decided to try different products that you could find at the drugstore. Some of these products I threw out after a month of no results. But now I believe I have found the products! Andrea Wrinkle Release Daily Rebuilding Serum with Matrixyl. I put this on morning and night after I use Neutrogena's excellent facial wash that also removes makeup with out leaving the skin dry (Visibly Even Foaming Cleanser with Soy). Simply purchase some regular aqueous cream from a pharmacy and a few nights before the event (not the actual night) smother your face in the cream. This is done at night after a shower. You will notice that your skin will "drink" the cream up. Your skin becomes noticeably plump and smooth for a few dys afterwards. This is only a boost and is not something you should do to regularly as you can block pores and cause spots. Any cream not absorbed after 5 minutes should be wiped off using a clean piece of cotton wool.

Ingredients:
A pot of aqueous cream, unperfumed.

Results (observed by submitter):
The appearance of skin improves, less redness and smaller pores. Epsom Salt is mineral compound (Magnesium Sulfate) that absorbs quckly through the skin and can be used to improve your beauty. USES and RECEPIES: 1) To exfoliate skin: Mix two cups of Epsom Salt and 1/4 cup of petroleum jelly. Add four drops of lavender essential oil (or any other essential oil that you like) to give a good aroma. Apply the mixture to your skin and gently scrub. You can also rub Epsom Salt into your body after taking a shower to exfoliate old skin cells. 2) For a facial: Mix 1/2 teaspoon of Epsom Salt into a deep cleansing cream. Massage the mixture onto your skin. Leave it for 20 minutes and then rinse with cold water. 3) To help with your pedicure: Soften your feet by soaking them in a bathtub with warm/hot water and Epsom Salt for 20 + minutes. The salt helps to smoothen, relax and refresh your feet.

Ingredients:
Epsom Salt and essential oils.

Results (observed by submitter):
It really worked for me as a skin exfoliator. This application is similar to a hot oil treatment for your hair. The heat helps keep the Emu oil fully liquefied, allowing extra penetration deep into the layers of skin. By following this tip you will soon begin to feel the difference in your skin; wrinkles should begin diminishing and skin will become very soft, smooth and supple. It also penetrates down through all 7 layers of skin and helps with new cell proliferation. The moisturizer works because the Emu Oil in the formula pulls the other things into the skin where it forms a moisture barrier. It seals the skin to maintain the body's natural moisture yet keeps the irritants away for the skin.

How to prepare:
Apply Refined Emu Oil and a fresh moist warm cloth to your face for about 5 minutes.

How to use:
Shake emu oil well and apply generously on face. The moist cloth warms the oil to help with penetration.

Results (observed by submitter):
helped to thicken and replenish my skin to reduce wrinkles and signs of aging. Being gentle with the skin is better. The skin does need some oils. If you clean all oils then more will be produced and clog pores. Finding the right balance for your own skin is key. If you are still getting blemishes and have no medical reason for this then try a gentle cleanser in the morning and if your skin feels dirty or oily through the day just wash it with water. At night you can use your regular, harsher cleanser. This will not cost you any extra to try but i assure you within a month your blemishes will improve.

by Anonymous

Instant skin tightening and pore reducing

Details:
To tighten the pores on your skin, place a wet towel in a ziplock bag and leave it in the refridgerator over night. If you work in a dry work environment, a light spray to your face keeps your skin glistening and moist all day long. These sprays are similar to body mist sprays, but they're strictly for the face and can be found in any Drug or Department store. There are many store brands, and all work the same really. The best thing about these sprays is that they are not costly - about 3.00 per bottle and a bottle will last up to 2-3 months depending on the number of times you use it per day. I wouldn't recommend it every day (even though it probably won't hurt. I have had this rash for years and it has helped. It's active ingredient is pentapeptides. To see if it really worked I applied it to only 1/2 of my face and I applied Kinerase lotion to the other 1/2 of my face. After 3 days I asked two friends if they saw any difference in either side of my face. Both of the friends picked the Olay side immediately. I've been using the Olay Perfecting cream for 2 weeks now and my skin is smoother, softer, less blotchy, my wrinkles are less noticeable, and I no longer have flaky patches.

Kinerase Lotion used to be my anti-wrinkle treatment and I believe that it also works. The difference is that it may take longer to see results and it's effect on my skin was an overall healthy glow rather than the specific immediate results I got with Olay Perfecting Cream. What remains to be known is which product would produce better long-term effects. It is also interesting to note that when I tested Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum vs. Kinerase Intensive Eye Cream, the Kinerase did a better job at hydrating and minimizing wrinkles in the eye area and reducing dark circles.

by Anonymous

Cleansing with oil

Details:
Clogged pores? Congested skin? Breakouts? Blackheads? Look no further. Throw out your cleansers and moisturizers and get yourself some coldpressed oils. Basically, oil dissolves oil. So, if your skin is overproducing sebum, stop using harsh detergents and stripping your skin, it'll just make it produce more oil. The following method has helped normalize my congested, acne prone skin: Cleansing: Massage jojoba oil (yes, on top of your makeup and everything) into your skin, dissolving all makeup and excess sebum. Give yourself a nice facial massage for a few minutes, then drape a washcloth dipped in hot water over your face, leave to cool for a bit, and simply wipe away all the dirt and oil. You can use extra virgin oil as well, or a mix of either oils and a bit of castor oil (really draws out those blackheads, but don't use too much). Now, your face is clean without being stripped, and if you don't feel dry or tight, skip any more moisture. If you do feel a bit dry, simply put on a few drops of jojoba oil. I saw a dermatologist about it and she conducted lasering on the spots which did little to minimize the marks and left me with very red pigmentation for about a year.

More recently I started using a callous exfoliator for feet (over the counter) on my legs. There are various brand names available at drug stores and I apply it 2X per day after washing, shaving and sometimes loofahing my legs. The brown mottling stuff is virtually gone and my legs have the original lightly pink colored skin of years ago.

I also used wart remover on some of the spots and it is peeling them off in layers. Just be careful to go slow with this latter part. I plan to use copper peptide cream for the healing of the spots where they were into the tissue deeper. This is still a work in progress. I then apply organic coconut oil to my legs for moisturizing. This is the first time, in years, that I feel hopeful about my legs. According to Ayurvedic tradition, this practice not only helps maintain good skin, but has a powerful effect on overall health and immunity. This practice is recommended by Dr. Deepak Chopra, among many other practitioners of Ayurveda.

Ingredients:
Raw sesame oil, which is available from health food stores.

How to prepare:
Heat the oil in a recipient until a few drops of water on its surface start to sizzle. Do not allow oil to burn. This procedure "cures" the oil. Let cool down, and put in a bottle.

How to use:
Apply all over your body with a massage, before the shower. You may or may not use soap, whichever you prefer. You can apply the oil all over your body, including face, and scalp. Do not forget bottoms of feet, and ears, which are two areas especially important, according to Ayurvedic tradition.

Results (observed by submitter):
Best method to keep the skin on your body in perfect shape. One of the areas of focus is the skin on my face. After decades of smoking, neglect and hard living, the skin on my face consisted mostly of enlarged pores. Three months ago, I started a regimen of exfoliation using crushed apricot pits purchased at a beauty supply store and vitamin E cream. Three nights a week, before retiring, I applied the exfoliant and used a battery-operated toothbrush (the kind with a rotary head) for increased abrasion with fine control. In the morning, I applied the vitamin e cream for protection. After three months, about half of the enlarged pores have returned to normal. Only the really large ones remain, and they are much smaller than when I started. The results are so good that I have decided to do some homework and learn how to properly care for my skin.

Results (observed by submitter):
After three months, about half of the enlarged pores on my face have returned to normal. Here is a little background on it. At the end I have started a great skin tip from this health system. Ayurveda, literally the "science of life and longevity" in ancient Sanskrit, is the oldest healing system in the world in continuous practice. It dates over 3000 years, with roots going back even further. It is the worlds first holistic system of health maintenance, based on lifestyle, diet and herbs. It was discovered that the taste of an herb determines its action: cleansing, balancing or rejuvenating. Generally, bitter tasting herbs clear and cleanse, whereas sweeter herbs tend to be nourishing and rebuilding. In contrast, vitamins therapy assumes there is a deficiency, if one does not exist, they are simply excreted by the body. Ayurveda states that using pure sesame oil on your skin is moisturizing and antiaging. I bought a bottle (very cheap) and have been using it all over my body and face then showering the excess off. My skin is glowing and definitely more hydrated. Great stuff.

Ingredients:
Organic Sesame oil

How to prepare:
Buy a bottle from the supermarket or health shop

How to use:
Apply generously to your whole body and face, then shower as normal.

Results (observed by submitter):
Smooth moisturized skin after only a couple of weeks.

by Wendy

Natural Acne Treatment

Details:
The emu oil allows the tea tree oil to permeate the skin more deeply delivering the astringent effect of the tea tree oil more effectively. I have used the dermal tone, and it worked very well. It firmed and tightened my sagging jaw line. Also, it firmed my cheek areas and along the sides of the mouth. The forehead is more toned and wrinkles appear slightly less visible and under the eyes area looks less puffy. And the neck area has toned nicely. The machine cost about 160 dollars. It applies a physical therapy method of using a very small electrical impulse to make the face muscles move, thus exercising them. Like with any exercise, it tones the muscles, creating a true facelift.

There are manual methods that can be used to create the same result, in which you tense the muscles yourself...there are books on the subject. I then apply Clarins Super Restorative Serum and wait until it dries. On top of the serum, I add Lancome Renergie, an anti-wrinkle and firming lotion. At night, I wash my face again with Cetaphyl. After my face is dry I add ROC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Correction Serum. Twice a week I use the Clinique 15 Minute Facial product. It is supposed to exfoliate skin. I don't have a good cream for my eyes and I am looking for advice on a good product. For the ROC Retinol Serum, I can also use it is the morning but I am worried about putting moisturizer over it. Would that minimize its effectiveness? A couple of times a week, use a sugar scrub that is available at discount retailers for only a few dollars to exfoliate your hands. Feet can get very badly neglected so that they crack and scale. This is true especially in the summer time. Luckily, there is an easy, do it yourself technique to get them back in shape. The first step is to slather (preferably clean) feet with Vaseline. Any type of lotion can be used instead or in combination, but Vaseline works just fine. Second, wrap your feet with plastic. Plastic wrap or old grocery bags work well. The point is to keep the moisture in. After wrapping your feet, secure the wrap by putting socks over top. Then, just go to bed and let the healing begin. In the morning, improvement is obvious. A few weeks of repeated treatments can heal even deep cracks. Use one every evening to wash face with lukewarm water and mild cleanser, such as Cetaphyl. This will gently slough off dead skin cells that lead to breakouts, and will also thoroughly wash off makeup. Be sure to use a clean wash cloth for each use. A warm wash cloth is the perfect place for bacteria growth. Throw used wash cloths in the dirty laundry. Twice per week, mix baking soda with cleanser until it forms a paste. Gently apply to skin with circular motion. Rinse off. The baking soda will polish your skin, giving it a healthy glow without irritating it. If more exfoliation is needed, this final step can be taken by those who are less sensitive. Use an AHA toner, such as Proactiv's Revitalizing Toner, containing Glycolic Acid. This toner also contains calming ingredients, such as aloe and witch hazel. This helps remove excess dirt, as well as refreshes and balances the skin. Apply the moisturizer of your choice. Be sure to apply sun screen, especially when using products with glycolic acid.

Results (observed by submitter):
Clean, refreshed, balanced, glowing skin.

by Pahla

Toning

For those with oily / tougher skins, one of the best ways to tone and invigorate your skin is simple and cheap: submerge your entire face in a basin of really cold water. Don't use hot water to cleanse beforehand though - warm is sufficient - otherwise you will end up with broken capillaries (not a good look!).

Take a deep breath and hold you face in the water for as long as you can, but don't drown yourself! Do it 2/3 times and splash the cold on your neckline too. Your skin will be pink and glowing and it will return to normal in a few minutes time.

This is great for closing the pores, getting blood into the skin to nourish the dermis and it's much better than buying toners that contain alcohol and chemicals that dry your skin out. However, always moisturize when your skin returns to its normal state to avoid overdrying.

The skin feels invigorated, the pores look much smaller and you will feel invigorated.

by MAX

Mama-mia Night Treatment

Before I go to bed each night, I cleanse my face, use a toner, then apply a few drops of olive oil into my palms and smooth it over my entire face, including lips. In the morning I cleanse again. I have been doing this now for about 6 months and have found more improvement in not only wrinkles, but in overall condition of my skin.

The great thing is, you can rub the remaining oil into your hands and cover your hands with white cotton gloves for extra soft hands in the morning!

For a once a week boost, I break open a vitamin E capsule and mix that into the olive oil before using it. While I'm soaking I exfoliate my face (right now I am trying Dr. Denese's microdermabrasion cream). Then I use Neutrogena sugar scrub on my body also using those exfoliating gloves. Then I take a long loofah back scrubber and with a shoe shine motion I exfoliate my legs again. I do this with my whole body (arms are the hardest) but my body skin is baby soft. I am 58. This really does not take very long and the sugar scrub leaves my skin so soft, and feeling great. This is my once a week treat with candles, tea and Andrea Bocelli!

My children are always telling me what soft skin I have and they love to rub my arms.

by Trudy

Reducing fine lines under eyes

For the last few years I have noticed considerably more fine lines under my eyes along with some minor crow's feet. At age 45 I was frantic to find a solution. I kept having girls at department store cosmetic counters telling me my eyes were dehydrated. I tried several expensive eye creams which would work for a few minutes and then the lines would return.

After much trial and error I found a solution that works well for me. I switched my cleanser to a milder one. I like Paula's Choice normal to dry cleanser. I follow with a vitamin C solution in the morning all over my face. I use Platinum Skin's C Serum. At night I alternate between prescription Tretinoin .05% cream and Kinerase since the Tretinoin is a bit strong to use daily. This regimen has vastly improved the lines around my eyes in about 6 weeks. I still have a few deeper lines around my mouth that have softened but am still hoping for a more dramatic result.

by CYNTHIA LEWMAN

Grain of rice eye cream

Details:
Given the high price of some eyecreams, make sure you use the right amount. Overuse of eyecreams does your eye area no favors! Using a smaller amount means that eye skin doesn't get weighed down by creams.

Ingredients:
Eye cream of choice, ring fingers (they are much gentler than other fingers!)

How to prepare:
No preparation necessary.

How to use:
pump or squeeze out a rice grain amount of eyecream or gel onto your ring finger. Press together with your other ring finger and tap around the eye area. Tapping also helps improve circulation and lymph drainage (two tips for the price of one!). Don't rub or you may stretch your eye skin!

Results (observed by submitter):
Longer lasting eyecream, less eye irritation and less puffy eyes.

by Liz

Skin-friendly bathing

Details:
I use this for situations where I have been very dirty and sweaty for several hours, like working tearing up sod in my yard and other heavy forms of gardening. Before I get into the shower, I mortar up a few vitamin C's into a paste, and mix it and a few vitamin E's that I release from their capsules, with whatever cheap clay mask I can find at the drug store. After rinsing off in the shower and shampooing, I put on my hair conditioner, tie it up in a plastic bag and put a towel over the bag, so it doesn't drip onto my body and the heat is retained by the towel for extra conditioning. I use the clay/vitamin C and E mask all over my body, let it dry, go back into the shower and rinse. When I emerge from the shower, I pat dry and apply lotion or oil to my damp skin. It's very refreshing and cleansing when you are filthy from the garden, but I would caution overusing it.

Ingredients:
Whatever cheap basic clay mask you can find that is nondrying (i.e. doesn't have alpha hydroxy acids in it, or perfumes, several vitamin C's and E's, your favorite body lotion (I usually add a few beta carotene's and E's to mine, plus some Bulgar Rose oil)

How to prepare:
as explained, mortar your C up until fine, mix all ingredients in a small bowl. You may have to add a bit of water to get the proper consistancy

How to use:
With your hands. LOL. Generally, by the next day, if it was a smaller zit, it's practically gone, and if it was a large red welt of a zit, it will finally come to a head; another day or two of treatment, and it dries up, lickety-split. It was only after just a few weeks usage on my face that I noticed my skin looking more dewy and smooth. Too add to this regimen, it was suggested to me that I could make my own body moisturizer at home. The 'homemade' recipe called for the same Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel (in tube) along with petroleum jelly (in tube) and the last item was any baby lotion. Since I found all the products at the dollar store, my investment was $3 + tax! You just mix it all together and store in an inexpensive jar or I just use a small plastic/tupperware type container. It is wonderfully rich, not too thick and very moisturizing. I just love it! You can also pick and choose some variants as now baby lotions come in some nice scents like lavender, chamomile, or just fragrance free. You be the artist!

Ingredients:
Homemade moisturizer: 1 tube (plastic squeeze top is fine) of Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera gel; 1 tube petroleum jelly (which I found with Vit. E in it and is a gel type also); 1 tube (squeeze top container) baby lotion.

How to prepare:
Mix equal parts together and store in airtight container. Wala! An inexpensive moisturizer that works! My understanding is that this recipe has been passed down in generations for years now. Sometimes it seems the 'oldies' are always the 'goodies'.

Results (observed by submitter):
My body was moisturized without any sticky film or waiting for it to soak in or dry first. Wrinkles and lines are nature's "stress marks," after all!

I recommend treating your skin as "sensitive skin" regardless of whether you have allergies or not. Only purchase produces that are fragrance-free and dye-free whenever possible. Fragrances and dyes serve no helpful purpose for the sensitive skin on the face and neck. Also, look for products advertised as noncomedogenic -- these products do not contain oil or other ingredients known to clog pores.

Avoid cleansers containing harsh grit and scrubs. They can rub the skin raw! Gentle exfoliation is best, when necessary: gently massage the skin with a washcloth or even the tips of your fingers to loosen dead skin without damaging healthy skin. Use a cleanser for sensitive skin -- one that is free of fragrances and dyes. It may cost a little more than the regular brand, but it's worth it.

Don't use an excess of harsh acne-removing products. Oftentimes a mild benzoyl peroxide gel will do the trick (look for 2.5% gel -- higher concentrations can chemically burn the skin). If you have access to a doctor, you can ask him/her about using a mild retinoid (.01% or .05% solution).

Finally, sunscreen and moisturizer. Sometimes you can find these two products together in one cream. Drier skin may require a separate deep moisturizing treatment in addition to daily sunscreen lotion. Protecting your skin from sun does wonders in terms of preventing wrinkles.

Treat your skin with the sensitivity it deserves and chock out unnecessary fragrances & additives. They only cause undue stress!

I have been using the methods described above for about 6 months now, and I've seen drastic results. I used to have skin that broke out every week -- now, I only have a rare occasional blemish. Forehead wrinkles have lessened significantly, even though I only use .01% tretinoin gel. My skin looks so much fresher and healthier since I quit using harsh acne products and fragranced cleansers.

by Angela K.

Exercise as Skin Rejuvenator

Regular intensive exercise is the best product I have ever used on my skin. You need to get your heart rate so you are panting hard and stay there for at least fifteen minutes. Your face needs to get hot and flush. I have tried a range of products over the years and cannot say I have ever noticed a significant improvement. When I don't exercise regularly it looks dull and my 35 years begin to tell.

But in periods of regular intensive exercise I always find my skin is brighter and fuller/plumper. Keeping your body properly hydrated allows the skin (and the underlying tissues) to be more smooth, lustrous, and healthy. Think of a time when you were ill and couldn't keep up with your fluid needs for a few days - remember how sallow your skin looked, and much more pronounced any lines or wrinkles appeared? In fact, good skin turgor is one of the major clues physicians look for in ascertaining a patient's overall health. Usually, no special fluids are required, just plenty of water!

Ingredients:
Ordinary water or mineral water in most cases, or drinks containing electrolytes and glucose if you've been ill.

How to prepare:
No special preparations are necessary.

How to use:
If you are drinking enough, you'll see the benefit - and (as long as your ikdneys are healthy and you don't have medically required fluid restrictions), you will simply urinate away any excess.

Results (observed by submitter):
When I treat patients by giving intravenous fluid replacement (usually a liter or two, sometimes more), I can often see their color return and and their natural contours and glow start to come back.

Costs involved:
None

by James L. I have been having it monthly for 10 years and my skin is in excellent condition with very few wrinkles for a 58 year old. I have it done in the beauty salon of our local college where the (supervised) students get a chance to perfect their technique. I have never had problems with this and it reduces the cost by at least 50%.

It involves using electrical impulses, along with a collagen based conductive gel, to tone the muscles of the face, to increase blood flow and to encourage the collagen moisturizer to be absorbed.

I find that if for any reason I stop having it for a couple of months, (e.g when the college closes for summer), my skin gets dry and rough, (despite moisturizing) and soon improves dramatically after a couple of treatments.

It's difficult to say if it has kept the facial muscles toned all these years as there is no way of knowing what I'd have looked like without it, but I am often told how youthful I look and my face is not very 'saggy', my jaw line still pretty firm for my age. My skin DEFINITELY benefits hugely.

So contact your local college where they run a beauty course and see if they offer this. Sometimes you can even be a case study for a student for their assessments and it's even cheaper then.

Submitted by Viv, Carnforth, UK

Humidify Your Skin

Right before I go to bed I cleanse and tone my face and neck. I then use a spritz bottle to spray a fine mist of water on my face and neck. I immediately apply any night treatments and moisturizer over the water before it evaporates or dries. I do basically the same thing in the morning before I apply makeup. I spray my face and then apply day treatments and day moisturizer while my face is still damp. I also invested in a humidifier for my house as I live in a dry climate. If you cannot afford to add a humidifier to your heating/cooling system I recommend using smaller room humidifiers or placing containers of water around your residence. The evaporating water will add moisture to the air. People who live in damp climates may not need this extra moisture but I live in West Texas and have great skin for the dry climate. I am 55 going on 56 and always get compliments on the lack of wrinkles I have for my age.

Everyone tells me that I do not look my age and that I have great skin. The sales personnel at Lancome and Estee Lauder always tell me my skin has few wrinkles. My hairdresser tells me the same thing. Tap water and well water cause me severe problems on my face - redness, dryness, breakouts, reactions, ruddiness, large pores, unhealthy skin.

If you buy Spring water, the inexpensive kind in the plastic gallon jugs at the supermarket, it's not only inexpensive but a WONDERFUL beauty secret!

Before I cleanse my face, I make sure my Spring water is the correct temperature because too cold is NOT good for my skin, tepid or lukewarm is best. If the water's too cold I simply place the closed jug of Spring water in a bowl filled with hot tap water for just a few minutes, that's all. Then just test it to be sure it's still not too cold or too warm before you put it on your face, of course.

I just pour some into a tall glass that I keep by the bathroom sink, splash my face with it, put on my cleanser, and then rinse with the Spring water - just pour some into your hand and rinse your face.

It's a little extra trouble, but really not that time consuming, and WELL worth it especially if you have sensitive skin and especially if your skin just doesn't feel right.

It's not the end to all problems, but in my opinion can be one of the best things you can do for your face.

Just remember the correct temperature is so important, extreme temperatures are so bad on your face.

Every time I try to use tap water I get the large pores again and the ruddiness and redness and dryness. I've tried water filters of different kinds, they do help, but for me bottled Spring water is best.

Submitted by Jackie

Keeping Vitamin C Serum Fresher

I think we all agree on the efficacy of Vitamin C serums. Although most of the producers of the serums say that deepening color doesn't mean the serum is no longer effective, I just prefer the serum to look as it did when I first purchased it. Most companies package their serums in amber colored bottles and a few have replaced the traditional eyedropper with a pump. Nevertheless, after a month, as oxidation set in, the color of my serum deepened. Based on a tip from my dermatologist, I now wrap my bottle of Vitamin C serum in plain old aluminum foil. It keeps the serum clear for months, so it must slow down the oxidation and I'm confident that now I'm receiving more benefits!

Submitted by Kate, Washington, DC

Steaming First

Before I go to bed I always steam my face over chamomile tea. I don't use any one brand of product and to be honest - I'm not very consistent about washing my face twice daily. The one thing that I do attribute my good fortune to however is my diligent use of sunscreen. Everybody tells us about it but I cannot stress how important it is. Always wear something on your face that contains at least a 15 spf UVA/UVB sunscreen. It is so easy to do since there are so many products in everyone's budget. I still see women who are tanned and their skin looks like leather. DO yourself a favor - use sunscreen now - get your kids to use it. In 5-10 years from now you will be glad you did. Remember to apply your bronzer only where the sun would naturally tan you (i.e. your nose, forehead, cheekbones and a little on the chin).

- Use light coloured make-up to accentuate your tan.

- Waterproof mascara can help keep your lashes looking lush, irrespective of how much you perspire in the summer heat.

- Avoid lip liner as it's too harsh for the soft summer look.

- Use a softer brown eye liner rather than the traditional black.
